FROM THE POET

This is a series of poems written by John Svododa over a number of years. There are times of peak-where numerous poems were written & there are also times of lows where there are long periods between each poem. As the author is trying to reach a goal of 1001 (and then retire!!) it was never envisaged that this would be done over a short period of time. Poems can be humorous, ridiculing someone or something, show a meaning of hurt or love or even project feelings that not necessarily be directed to the same person/thing, can be a reflection of life or to be life. Most poems are trying to send a message to the reader be it not understandable or nonsense.

The idea of this poet is not to have any ill feelings against anyone but to be read by young whom can learn about life – and by the elderly look back at what could have been. Some are very personal- but who cares when you are currently living in a life that has total enjoyment. Suggestion is not to criticize but to take in the enjoyment of creative poetry make it meaningful and thus may be you can be an author.

Poem Number - A NEW YEAR BRINGS.......... 1/1/2018

A new year means a new begining for some,
From being born and planning life's future fun.
A New Year is supppose to bring greater joy and laughter to everyone,
Yet the New Year does not hide the fact there is sadness around the corner to be found.
So each New Year we glorify as better than ever before,
Then comes the year when we lose someone close to you: dear to your heart more.
The loss dampens your happy thoughts of your year,
There is no such way that your loses can be replaced so far.
So each year is a mystery year: as we always provide best wishes to each other,
So the New Years brings goodness of life to each other.
What we don't wish to each other is comforting someone with a loss of a loved one.
Now is the time in the New Year, to seek to move on,
Yet it is difficult when in your heart is your loved one,
People question the reason of loss,
But none will know the answers nether the less.

Poem Number - A Father Is A Father

A Father is there when a mother gives birth to their child that inhales their first breath,
A Father is there when the child has its first feed and sleeps day on to day nights air fresh,
A Father is there when there's nappies to be changed, washed and cleaned,
A Father is there when the child makes its first opening the eyes discovering its parents.

A Father is there to support the mother, when the she is exhausted, tired and overwhelmed,
A Father is there when the child  does its first crawl using hands and feet on the carpet,
A Father is there  when the child  start using the hand to touch to learn and be told,
A Father is there when the first walk is slowly and struggling to reach one end.

A Father is there when the first work is spoken as each parent finds out is it "Mumma" or "Daddy"!

A Father is ther when they make their first run and ensures there is enough space ready,
A Father is there when they ask their first questions, with many more to come,
A Father is there  when they go to their first day of school and makes sure they end up at home.

A Father is there when the homework is  homework and  and not just playing fun,

A Father is there when the child wants new friends to  come home and eat out in the sun,
A Father is there to take the child to places, for fun and entertainment,
A Father is there to assist and be a guide to dealing with life challenges, goals complete.

A Father is there when a child wins or loses races, games, exams and  be a sideline coach,

A Father is there when a child needs to talk more then listen, just keping in touch,
A Father is there  when a child completes their education, has a new partner and gets married,
A Father is there when a child grows up and becomes a father or mother, God's love fulfilled.

Poem Number - Foreign Parents

This is the time we think of our sins against others that have passed away,
The ones that gave us life, suffered pain and nurtured us to growth, in each way,
They that paid for your clothes, food, drinks, drove us to school,
They that checked you report and sometime when from hot to cool.

They smacked us in need, they yelled as we had to be yelled,
They gave only food and water for one week for my words of back hand,
I not know that should I have  been listening more closer to them,
I would have been what they wanted me to be for them.

For I not knew the hard lives they lead in there country of origin,
Coming from wars where lives were lost in millions,
They they came here with no father, no mother and no brother or sister,
They that started a family with pride of joy no matter if it was girl or boy.

I now plead for their  the voices of Mum and Dad to be heard,
I now ask for they listen in heaven for my prayers to be heard,
I now ask God for forgiveness for not making me hear them, then,
I now know I much love they had for me and for to them.

As each year passes, as each month passes, as each day passes,
The great memmories shared are the great memories cared, in minutes,
For I am the son of parents that made my life easy to live,
And now as I remember them, have my children easier in their life.

Bless Mum And Dad

Poem Number - Happy Mother's Day Tomorrow!

Happy Mothers Day Tomorrow!

A mother is a woman that is special to all mankind,
A mother nurtures the young child in the womb into our great world,
She feels like the wind cooling you down in the hot sun,
She has the majestic powers to listen and talk to daughters and sons,
A mother has the experience of leading your child the right way,
A mother has such wisdom to make each day last to another day,
A mother knew her mother and wants to follow in the shadows of her steps,
A mother would like her child to lead their life and follow in her footsteps,
Yet a mother's nice word must be heard,
To listen to and be understood,
A mother will be that guide that you were looking for, when lost,
A mother will find the right way to take you out of the dark Forrest,
A mother is your mother that kisses and caresses you in joy,
A mother will be equal to her children: whether it be girl or boy,
A mother will jump over fences and swim in water to find you, if lost
A Mother will pick up your mess and leave you so cleaned!
Your mother will always be your mother even though she leaves this world,
So if she has treasure her love for her and tell her how you love her untold,
Take her out, shout her a meal, ring her up, visit her and pray for her,
as although Mother's Day is near - every day is Mother's Day forever!

Poem Number - 'Special Living Day' - 1/1/2015

Lord God, we pray that you forgive us of all our sins,
We pray that you see your love within all our lives,
Lord God, we thank you for the life on earth you have given each of us.
It is within each of our lives that you have made each person special.

Lord God, we pray for eternal peace, love and understanding of each individual person,
We pray that as loving individuals we do not commit sins against anyone,
We pray all people's and anyone's belief s in their own religion are united as one,
We pray for anyone's so called, 'enemy' to become our own friend.

Lord God, we pray that people listen, learn and give time to your 'Holy Word'!
We pray that our politicians, church/religious and community leaders, preach the 'Right Words',
We pray that all people around the world are given food and fed daily,
We pray that the one that can give: can give from their heart, rightfully.

Lord God, it is for you only that we live and breathe,
Lord God, is for you that we pray from the New Year: for your 'breath of life',
Lord God, we pray for others that don't have time to pray,
And finally, Lord God, we pray you make all of our lives happy in every special living day.
Amen

Poem Number - The Colours Of One's Loss. 15/1/2014

May the fields bloom with roses of all colours,
May they bring us happiness as we smell the airs freshness: the best of scents.
Isn't it great that the sun will shine early in the morn,
From the day your parents brought you into the world as a new born.

Each child is brought into the world as being as special as they truly are,
Each breath, each heart beat each moment of living on our earthly space,
The time is precious as the child learns about living the life it does in worlds of war and peace,
That  then warms the hearts of all other humans around as they keep their lively pace.

Grown up are the children now, they become the parents of their children and later grandchildren,
It is the life they want to live they they will live,
As they go down the straight roads with slight left and right bends,
Out of the darkness of all travels with come the shinning bright light of God's Calling.

So the waters of the worldly seas with stop to waiver and be still,
Sands Hills will turned into plush green plains with no hills,
Forests will be tranquil as the bush makes its own sound,
Creeks will gently flow on to rivers making lives mend.

Thus the day of darkness will come to each one of us,
A day will end when we mourn for our  life's superstars,
Yet, we will never forget those that so loved us,
As we  always  remember the one's we so loved, our life's shining stars.

Poem Number Richard Amery I Met Today

Richard Amery , Hon. State  Member for Mount Druitt,
I met today briefly,
He is such a nice gentleman,
There are mixed feelings I feelings I have of Richard Amery.

These are regarding recontesting the seat of Mount Druitt next year,
At this stage he is keeping his options open,
As stated to myself today,
He lives at the same little house for over forty years.

He loves the area (like I do and many others),
And claims he really has enjoyed doing his work as a State Member of Mount Druitt,
I do hope he contests the seat,
But that is up to him and his Labor Party Team to decide.

I remember when I wasn't living in the area,
And he had the post of NSW Minister of Police,
He may not have realised that he would have made a good NSW Premier,
If he chose to take these footsteps within the NSW Parliament.

Richard Amery has a string following in the area,
And would be hard to beat him on election day,
t would have had to be a string Independent Candidate to do so,
To me that is highly unlikely.

In relation to Public Transport, Richard Amery,
Is wondering why the Opal Cards be available at Sydney Train Stations,
To understand this,
This  can be understanding.

Poem Number - Warren, You Are Thought Of..... 11/7/2014

Your thoughts are with us in each & every day,

As you take time away and  be more happier every day,

All your mates at work are with you all the way,

So let’s hope that all your life good wishes come true,  as to say.

You’re a man that cheers up the ones that need cheering,

You’re a person that has suffered and come out strong,

You’re the one that talk of good and wants to rid all of wrong,

You’re the one that  is the best for me to learn from.

Your cheer for the winning team,

You help the ones that need that guidance and shine,

You straight talk to All Managers, Team Leaders and employees,

You are the fair  to everyone and the first to provide assistance.

You share your life experiences, with everyone around you,

You touch the old ones and even the young and new!

Your biggest strength is within your own self,

A man you are that even brings the best of pride to one self!

Poem Number - Daughter Of Peace! 10/6/2014

A daughter is a sweet person that is like a golden rose,
She is feminine, soft, white as snow as she leans to grow,

She is the daughter that all parents hope for to have,
She is the daughter of proud parents, that gave her to birth.

A daughter will listen, learn, do and act the life she wants to have, in time,
A daughter will have easy decisions to make and make in a line,
A daughter will follow when young and later stand beside her parents,

A daughter will take the from the fishermen, the fish that needs to be cook and eaten,
A daughter will do her best to complete to her ability her highest education,
A daughter is the peacemaker when times of trouble,
A daughter will not get her feet wet in deep mud and rubble.

A daughter knows best when to care and love for others in deed,
A daughter is loved and to be loved by her marrying husband,
A daughter will have children so she will also be a mother,
A daughter will tend, feed, clothe her child and give it her wonderful nuture.

A daughter is a daughter forever, a mother in the future,
A daughter is a blossoming flower with such sweetness of scent,
A daughter is there and here, when her parents are needed and close to death,
A daughter says the words that places peoples hearts and lives, to rest in peace.

Poem Number - Is It All About Me? 2/6/2014

Is it all about me that lives in this world,
Is it all about me to have followed my parents,
Is it all about me to complete my high school education,
Is it all about me to grow up and and have friends.

Is it all about me to bring home a girlfriend,
Is it all about me to advertise my love for someone else,
Is it all about me that a woman chose myself for everlasting love,
Is it all about me to ridicule others an not feel shame.

Is it all about me that d the married the woman to share my life,
Is it all about me that we are from different backgrounds,
Is it all about me that both my wife and myself have children.
Is it all about me that I took a stand for Public Transport
                           within the community.

Is it all about me that I can speak to one another openly
                           to hundreds,
Is it all about me that every day I worry what lies ahead,
Is it all about me I have humiliated others by leaving
                     provocation of the community.

Is it all about me that I ashamed others for not finishing a job
Is it all about me that others are happy and I may be sad,
Is it all about  seme that I need be loved by others,
Is it all about me that I have served and not served more,
Is it all about me and not about loving my beautiful wife.

Is it all about me and not listening to God's call,
Is it all about me doing something bad rather than not at all,
Is it all about me that makes the world listen,
Is it all about me that I know when to turn one.

All I wanted in my life since my father passed away,
Is the world and our community to have each person a happy day,
Now time has come to place closure of what I have done as a
                               community group,
And a new page in my life is now to care for the people in my
                               family group.

I ask f no one to judge myself  of my actions,
I ask that we care and love one another,
As God and Jesus so truly love you,
I ask this on behalf of The Father, Son and The Holy Spirit.

Poem Number - My Mother Was Your Mother! 20/5/2014

My mother was a mother who loved the world,
My mother was a mother that had many stories to be told.
My mother was gentle and was so so mild,
My mother, was to me so loved.
My mother spoke words of care.
My mother never made me dare,
My mother laughed and cried,
My mother made sure I was fed.
My mother worked outside of home,
My mother made her income on her own,
My mother with my father bought a house,
My mother to my father was a great spouse.
My mother made neighbours family,
My mother made family so friendly,
My mother had a gift of her own love,
My mother prayed to God from all above.
My mother was my Queen of my home,
My mother stayed at home and didn't roan,
My mother loved her children's children,
My mother gave her cooking experience to all men and women.
My mother was there when I played my sport,
My mother told me of my school report,
My mother make sure I did my home work,
My mother made sure I talk only when need be talk.
My mother became a mother to other people,
My mother always took to mass her missal,
My mother help when somebody asked,
My mother was beautiful like all mothers foretold.
My mother now rests in Peace,
My mother now will have her heavenly space,
My mother I will always remember,
As my mother was your mother!

Poem Number - Speak Out And Say! 14/1/2014

There is always a a reason to speak out and say,
Such importance  when to speak to the person/s and the time of day.
It can be said in various forms as long at the listener and receiver are near,
And so can be said  your words ares so spoken only to the ones with open ears.

For if you don't say what you have to say,
Then someone else might say it and say it in a different way.
For only you will know if it is the right time to speak and be heard,
And whether you need to speak again or like a shepherd listen.

Remain silent and others will speak together,
Speak out loud and the rest will be quite humble and not mumble,
Then will the dust build as down comes the feather,
They will watch and learns as it tumbles and tumbles.

Poem Number 436- Suspiciously Wise

Unknown  understanding suspiciously wise,
Anonymous, angry, animal  acts activities,
One side of hate and then the other....... sad,
Argument, aggressively annoyed, anonymously agitated.

Passionately peace people, personally paving down,
While wet whales wash their fins,
Fish flapping bird's feather, faster and faster,
Gone gherkins, get up growing greater geometrically,

Poem Number 433 - Complete Death

Tired, yet grown man of thirty-four years,
Doesn't have time to shed any tears,
HIs heart is full of external  love from others,
His head is forever thinking of dreadful ideas.

Whilst his two young children are growing up,
They speak like 'Dadda' and mature to 'Daddy!'
Numerous questions  are asked about anyone and anything,
For he looks upon them for as if he was young again.

While they talk, winds of strength build up their knowledge,
Their sanctuary of words increases day-to-day: amazing of what some words are said,
Answers are quickly found to please the younger's interest,
But he is not prepared for the future questions that will come of hand.

Timid and shy are these children, they grow at a fast pace,
His head thinks of years ahead, God she will be 18 years old in 14 years',
Or ' I'll be able to go for a drivers licence in 14 years time!'
Yet, he wonders of being there with them: full of flesh and blood.

He does think of times he'll be dead,
What and how will they cope without him?
How can a  child understand about the meaning of death?
Can the right person explain the meaning of complete death?

He does think of his wife, who never stops a day from working,
Whether it is home or at work: never leaves her with much rest,
Should he dies now, more work and responsibility, would be left forthright to her,
Whether 'The Will' is read or not, she will definitely miss him.

He doesn't hold up his head so high,
He doesn't know what the future lies,
All is he knows is  you cannot make a picture of the future,
As the future will always alter from day-to-day,

His life is not saddened by the misfortune of others,
But he does have grief as an act of being hurt,
Yet, for when no ones around, the justice is done,
He does, "Thank God', for all the good given to all women and men'.

For God brings light, not just into the world!

Poem Number 301 - Speechless Nights - 18/11/1988

Speechless nights are calm throughout the coldest seasone,
It's too old  for us  to talk about it forever, now,
For the fog is seen throughout the day's air,
For it is the cool of the night, going beyond us

T'is the sky that shows us the weather,
T'is the  earth that beareth the weather,
And thouh monlight shines all around the surfaces of the earth,
T'is the darkest shadows that live within us forever and ever.

Dust and winds brngs  our communities far apart,
Rains and storms drain away all people's rich hearts,
Look deeper into our every day lives: search wider for that love,
For the one you haven't heard or seen before,

For the bells are soundless, ringing for, today,
To be a  playing a big part in this world, today.
T'is the sunlight that is seen on the first new dawn,
And feeling of eternity, right from the start of a child newly born.

Poem NUmber 300 - For Richer, For Poorer - 30/10/1988

Nimala, I can see  how at times,
That we both get  on each other's nervous.
The hurt of meaningless word that are said,
Show no good and yet, both are hurt for bad.

Nirmala, as a man I try not  make you sad,
But you show anger by all physicall and verbal means,
And lead me  to reflect the same feel as you,
To no avail we then rest and feel detested.

Next day, I always  say to myself as I see you lying  in the warm
      bed,
Head side,  half awake  or fully asleep in peace of mind,
'Please make today an understanding pleasant day of which we
     both share,
To end up by resuming our thoughts of another good day to come'.

Nirmala, silence doersn't show respect of sny kind,
Spoken words are softly toldto the one that listems,
Snd whilst the listening is in practice,
You are getting ready or your repose.

Once the other words are spoken, comments are made to the other,
when  we make our vows together: peace, traquility and love were
     to share,
For richer, for poorer, in health...... nd so,
I will keep my vows to you as a man as you should still keep your
vows to me as a woman.

Poem Number 299 - Worries Of Lives Never Ending Families - 29/9/1988

To this day, the word 'work'  has been easy for me,
And yet I complain in spirit and with endurance,
for some 'work' id their life of families,
To support his or her partner, for life for their 'Youngers'.

And so comntinues the daily routine of the office paper network,
To do just what is instructed to them to do, and that is,
To go with full speed to plough through all the mess,
To do such easy work, yet by helping someone else out.

Poem Number 298 - Your Rewad - 23/9/1988

To Nirmala, on her special day, Sunday twenty-fith September,
A day of celebrations, smile and cheers for all to share,
A day of family reunions to bring veryone together,
A day not be  destroyed by any means or will.

To Nirmala, a heart warming very close friend of my heart,
May you forgive me, for lying to you the last week or so?
But this lie of mine, I will not bring upset or anger,
Or spoil the day that has planned with evryone that loves you.

Happy twenty-five Birthday, Happy Birthday to my love of all life,
For you care and love me till the end of my life,
Your rewards will be given to you in kindness snd with thought,
It will be such a special reward for a very sepecial person.

Poem Number 297 - A Child Of An Adult - 11/8/1988

The treasures I still have, deep in my memory,
Of such golden day of my sweet marriage,
Yet still anew my wife with love of mine,
The crystals still  shine high into our lives.

For the peopel whom were invited invited to our special day,
I, as John, will not delete their faces from our life.
Neither  will my wife, 'Nirmala' may be distracted  by them,
But for the record, of one's ultimatum to discourage for pleasure.

For he that talks with such disgrace of our love,
As he himself is of the same background of my wife.
For he will never live such peaceful lives,
But for the day, he will marry himself forever will he see.

A person can be taken to certain  limits  of his or her life,
Jokes aside can cause damage or harm to one's own anger,
And most frequently this backfires onto the original person, whom jokes around,
Yet the peaceful attitude and condition of a man will bring prosperity and weath to another's life.

The person of whim I have to work with,
Has turned me away from him by accidental conversation abuse,
So this child of an adult is not grown up to make decisions,
But to to his name he lies like, 'Lionel'.

Poem Number 296 - Unnknown Person Called 'You' - 3/8/1988

To thirst, to starve, to realise one's own weight,
Is to put this person into trail by daily tests,
By means  of sticking to a diet is rostered for you, week to week,
To ensure no extra calories are consumed to waste.

For he that continues to expand one's own gut,
Had better pop his head in for a hangman's loop,
And hang loose in the midst of air,
With less breath to inhale each second.

Whilst you lose what you wish to lose,
You'll be more appreciated by others of unknown friends,
And you'll experience ban uplifted good atmosphere in your life,
As well as such  great self-respect towards your new body.

A new 'You'  will be up to you to keep,
And maintain  the same body weight all the  way through,
So that there will be  no neglect and reverse attitudes,
To be back to the unknown person called ' You'.
