FROM THE POET

This is a series of poems written by John Svododa over a number of years. There are times of peak-where numerous poems were written & there are also times of lows where there are long periods between each poem. As the author is trying to reach a goal of 1001 (and then retire!!) it was never envisaged that this would be done over a short period of time. Poems can be humorous, ridiculing someone or something, show a meaning of hurt or love or even project feelings that not necessarily be directed to the same person/thing, can be a reflection of life or to be life. Most poems are trying to send a message to the reader be it not understandable or nonsense.

The idea of this poet is not to have any ill feelings against anyone but to be read by young whom can learn about life – and by the elderly look back at what could have been. Some are very personal- but who cares when you are currently living in a life that has total enjoyment. Suggestion is not to criticize but to take in the enjoyment of creative poetry make it meaningful and thus may be you can be an author.

Poem Number 291 - Another Human Life, Like Yourself - 30/5/1988

Children who are born into our wonderful new world,
Have so many choices and decisions to make in their early years.
Their future is decided by themselves,
All in all their problems will be cured by them.

Yet amongst all their decisions they will decide on,
There are two main ones that are decided before them.
One is the right to life of birth by God and parents,
Two is the choice of sexes that is decided by human chemistry.

Yet most children will learn to adapt with their sex,
And others will not adapt to their sexual parts, personally,
And these people who go through life, living as the opposite sex,
Will always be uncomfortable when true sexes are found.

In early years the parents will plan their beginning years of life,
To provide all the  energies and necessities that will help grow the
      child up,
But physical movements and individual daily decisions will be
      there,
To run around, play and put crayons to paper and draw.

To chose the career after educational skills, to further one's own
      life,
To chose the travel that needs to be done to oversee our beautiful
     world,
To chose to decide upon holy matrimony with the common opposite
     sex,
To chose the delight of entering our world another human life, like
    you.
