FROM THE POET

This is a series of poems written by John Svododa over a number of years. There are times of peak-where numerous poems were written & there are also times of lows where there are long periods between each poem. As the author is trying to reach a goal of 1001 (and then retire!!) it was never envisaged that this would be done over a short period of time. Poems can be humorous, ridiculing someone or something, show a meaning of hurt or love or even project feelings that not necessarily be directed to the same person/thing, can be a reflection of life or to be life. Most poems are trying to send a message to the reader be it not understandable or nonsense.

The idea of this poet is not to have any ill feelings against anyone but to be read by young whom can learn about life – and by the elderly look back at what could have been. Some are very personal- but who cares when you are currently living in a life that has total enjoyment. Suggestion is not to criticize but to take in the enjoyment of creative poetry make it meaningful and thus may be you can be an author.

Poem Number 289 - The World Of Happiness - 19/5/2988

The marriage of importance and all my own doing,
Had come about due to loneliness and depression,
Of multiple of years on end, search  for my truelove of mankind,
And with the grand finale present: there are no wife's parents to
     see.

So, I was a little  unhappy of my father-in-law and mother-in-law
     in non-attendance,
This was not their own fault for not being at our wedding,
And the truth to the matter, in my my concern,
Is that even though there were not there physically, they were there       in heart.

For just on three months after our marriage of truth and trust,
I had  met my parents from my wife's side for just a few minutes.
Yet, we all had hours upon hours of waiting for their arrival,
And I indeed greeted  them with a warm friendly smile.

With the little chance I have had to speak to my new parents,
It's been a tiring affair with them living with others,
And they are not able to speak to my wife and I on the phone,
But to wait days from when we can all let out our words of peace.

To Taji, which I  have grown to liken as my new father,
I will give any of my time and advice to build in this love,
To Amma, who has  showed me tears of sadness running down her
      face,
I tell her that I will always look after her  well brought up daughter.

To everyone in the 'Prasad Family' I will show and give love to
     them,
More than the love   of an in-law, just purely family love,
Whilst I care of my one and so beautiful wife of life,
My intentions are to bring everyone together, in the world of
    happiness.
