FROM THE POET

This is a series of poems written by John Svododa over a number of years. There are times of peak-where numerous poems were written & there are also times of lows where there are long periods between each poem. As the author is trying to reach a goal of 1001 (and then retire!!) it was never envisaged that this would be done over a short period of time. Poems can be humorous, ridiculing someone or something, show a meaning of hurt or love or even project feelings that not necessarily be directed to the same person/thing, can be a reflection of life or to be life. Most poems are trying to send a message to the reader be it not understandable or nonsense.

The idea of this poet is not to have any ill feelings against anyone but to be read by young whom can learn about life – and by the elderly look back at what could have been. Some are very personal- but who cares when you are currently living in a life that has total enjoyment. Suggestion is not to criticize but to take in the enjoyment of creative poetry make it meaningful and thus may be you can be an author.

Poem Number 284 - Ingredients Of Headaches - 9/5/1988

God, get rid of this headache that longs in my head, please?
It has been and gone, pains to relief of ease,
Such long thoughtful delays are caused by the  disturbance,
Too long for anyone to suffer such indefinite non-assistance.

Do outsiders or insiders of our internal hunam body cause it,
Yet to give true to this answer, one must look at all possibilities,
Hence, once one's own thoughts on the ingredients of headache,
Can certainly differ from others who may not  have any paints at
      all.

Can they occur while you're deep  fast asleep?
Or can they occur while just driving a car up the street?
Or can they happen while you are having one of your daily meals,
Actually, when can they happen to us, at all?

Some of us say, 'When they just pop up just out of the blue',
And some say, 'They can be caused buy the same person, they are
     to blame'.
Whilst the rest  say, 'It's just a matter of outside pressure,
Outside pressure, like  a demanding situation where one's thoughts
     are confused.'

Whatever it is can ruin your day or night; for others and for
       yourself,
It can annoy you, so you lose your concentration,
And your mind is one hundred percent off the job,
You search until somebody or somewhere the cure tablets are fond
       to be consumed!
